Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Sang Limite ("we", "us") operates the VitalDrop mobile app and this website, which connect voluntary blood donors with people who need blood, in Lebanon. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We only collect what the service needs. Depending on how you use the app, that may include:
- Account: when you first open the app it creates an anonymous account with a generated username and password, stored securely on your device. You may optionally set your own username and password.
- Profile (optional): first and last name, phone number, date of birth, blood type, and region. You can skip this.
- Donation offers & blood requests you create: the contact name and phone number, blood type, region, donation type, and any notes you add. You choose whether to post with your name shown or anonymously.
- Campaign / announcement sign-ups: the name and phone number you provide when you enroll.
- Notifications: a device push token so we can send you relevant alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- Basic in-app activity: for example, how many people have viewed a listing or revealed a phone number, counted once per account so listings show accurate interest.
- Messages you send us: on this website's contact and get-involved forms we collect your name, email, optional phone number, and your message.
How we use your information
We use this information to connect donors with people who need blood, to show relevant donation offers and requests, to let people who post a listing be contacted, to send notifications you have allowed, to respond to your messages, and to keep the service working and safe (for example, limiting how many posts a single account can create to prevent abuse). We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it.
What other people can see
When you publish a donation offer or a blood request, the contact name and phone number on that listing are shown to other app users so they can reach you — that is the purpose of posting. If you choose "anonymous", your name is hidden and only the phone number is shown. Your profile details are private and are never shown to other users. Deactivating or deleting a listing removes it from public view.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that make the app work — chiefly Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers push notifications — and only as needed for that purpose. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the service. Listings you delete are removed from public view. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.
How we protect it
Connections to our servers use encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, never in plain text. Access to the servers is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
Blood donation has a minimum age, and the app is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your choices
You can use the app without filling in a profile, post listings anonymously, turn notifications on or off in your device settings, and request deletion of your account and data at any time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and significant changes may also be announced in the app.
